Head below ground on a 1-hour private ‘Cathedral Cave’ tour at Capricorn Caves exploring the ancient geological history of the region whilst learning about the local wildlife and early settlers.

Celebrate the centenary of Qantas at the Qantas Founders Museum
Cruise west at 300km per hour, leaving the busy east coast behind as you begin your journey. The tour route takes guests over the Darling Downs and the Great Diving Range to an overnight stop at Wallaroo Outback Retreat, nestled amongst the magnificent sandstone cliffs of the Carnarvon Ranges. Fall asleep to the sounds of the bush in the comfort of your Glamping Tent.
Continuing North-West to Longreach to explore the QANTAS Founders Museum before settling into your rustic and beautiful accommodation at the Saltbush Retreat. Enjoy a sunset cruise along the Thompson River before a traditional stockman’s camp-fire dinner.
The final day begins flying east towards Rockhampton over the Central Highlands and Coalfields looking down at rich farming lands before a short bus ride to the stunning Capricorn Caves. Head out on a 1-hour private ‘Cathedral Cave’ tour which showcases the area’s most spectacular caves, leaving you with lasting memories of ancient geological history, early explorers and the wonderful wildlife.
Begin your journey home flying over the spectacular Southern Great Barrier Reef taking in sights of Heron, Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot Island, before landing back on the Gold Coast in the early evening.
- Day One
Gold Coast → Wallaroo Outback RetreatChecking into the Seair hangar at 7:00am, your tour begins with a meet and greet with the other guests, before an early briefing. Enjoy the sunrise over the Gold Coast as you fly north-west for a 2 hour flight to your first stop Wallaroo Outback Retreat during which a light breakfast will be supplied.After a scrumptious morning tea at the retreat you will head out in an air-conditioned 4WD bus with a local highly experienced Ecologist guide to discover secluded gorges, amazing rock formations, unique Aboriginal rock art, Australian wildlife, rare plants and fabulous views. A picnic lunch of wholesome outback tucker will be provided during the dayAfter dinner and a few stories around the campfire, retreat to your elegantly appointed glamping tent and let the magical sounds of the bush gently rock you to sleep for the night.

- Day Two
Wallaroo Outback Retreat → LongreachDay two starts with a continental bush breakfast at the retreat, before departing Wallaroo for Longreach. After a quick fuel stop en-route you will land at Longreach and head to the Qantas Founders Museum, where they are celebrating the Centenary Year of Qantas (100 Years).After lunch have a wander through the world-class museum and cultural display, before an experienced guide takes us on a private tour of the aircraft in the Airpark.In the afternoon, settle into your charming accommodation at Saltbush Retreat before enjoying a ‘Drovers’ sunset cruise down the majestic Thomson River.Head ashore for a traditional stockman’s camp-fire dinner while being entertained by a local bush poet and picture show. End the night with the timeless favourite – billy tea and damper, before being transported back to the Saltbush Retreat for the night

- Day Three
Longreach → Capricorn Caves → Southern Great Barrier Reef → Gold CoastAfter a leisurely continental breakfast, depart Longreach and fly east over the Central Highlands and Coalfields looking down at rich farming lands contrasted against open cut coal mines towards Rockhampton where you will take a short bus ride to the stunning Capricorn Caves.After morning tea and free time to explore the visitors centre, you will head out on a private 1-hour ‘Cathedral Cave’ tour.After a gourmet lunch in a private bush setting, head back to Rockhampton airport where you will begin your journey south and enjoy a spectacular scenic flight over the amazing Southern Great Barrier Reef taking in the spectacular Heron, Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot Islands as well as the heritage listed Fraser Island. The trip home concludes with a flight the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane returning into the Gold Coast in the early evening.
